Principals Message

Dear parents and carers,

This year we have received some lovely feedback from our own staff and parents from other towns about the way our students behave, display school pride and how they perform in their chosen field. I would like to share a few with you;

Quirindi Horse Sports

"As one of the 10 year old age group marshalls, the group as a whole was an absolute credit to themselves and their schools.  They were all well mounted, very capable, respectful and polite.  Made my day very easy. St Xavier's student Gus Simpson was in this age group and so we would like to pass this message on to him and yourselves.”

A parent wrote the following;

“I was approached by the man running it yesterday and he mentioned we had some very talented children at our school, some of them he called Athletes! He was also impressed with our sportsmanship and attitude".

I was also approached by a teacher from McCarthy in Tamworth, he was very impressed with the talent of some of our students.

"We should be very proud of these kids. They led the school well, played great and showed a wonderful amount of sportsmanship to the other teams.”

True to form our children have performed at the Gunnedah Eisteddfod with the greatest sense of school pride and collaboration. We have received excellent results and feedback and there has been much celebration on return to school after each performance. I really appreciate the hard work of the staff in their preparation of the children particularly as there were restrictions due to social distancing which made it a little tricky with grouping.

We are proud of all our students and the way they represent our school.

Kind regards,

Jen
