In the 3/4 classrooms the past few weeks we have been working on poetry in our writing, and location in maths.
Our poetry has included acrostic poems involving their names, cinquain which is a 5 line poem with a specific word count and haiku poems which include certain syllables for each line and focuses on themselves, and their interests. The poems have been a creative piece allowing them to engage in a topic that attracts them while focusing on adjectives and structure.
Our maps created in class for location have been an inside/outside learning experience. Combining the use of a compass, axes, scales, directions, and measurement to create accurate maps and use our references to identify specific locations.
