2021 Victorian Premier’s Reading Challenge

Looking for a way to get your child more interested in reading? Would you like to encourage them to challenge or extend themselves?

Why don’t your kids have a go at the Victorian Premier’s Reading Challenge? The Challenge has already began- so don’t wait any longer to register and get reading. 

This year, students need to be registered by a parent or guardian as “home-based” readers using this link https://vprc.eduweb.vic.gov.au/register. Once you have registered, the challenge coordinators will email you log in details so your child can access their personal dashboard and add the books they read. As children read books and log them on the dashboard, they progress through levels, achieving badges as they go. They also receive a special certificate at the end of the challenge. The online dashboard links children to everything they will need to track their reading progress. It intuitively suggests books that they might like based on what they’ve already read, allows them to choose an avatar and encourages them to rate books as they go.
