Co-curricular - Senior Sport

Congratulations

I wish to congratulate Christian Chater and Joseph Hatem of Year 10 who, after competing in last week’s ISA U16 Football matches, were both selected to represent the NSWCIS 16’s Team and competed at this week's NSW All Schools Championships. A special mention also goes to Mr Fochesato who coached the NSWCIS Opens team and to Kian O'Neil from Year 12, who was selected as a shadow player for the NSWCIS Opens Team.

We also congratulate Anthony del Popolo from Year 8 who recently competed at the NSW All Schools Diving Championships held at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre. Anthony did himself, the College, and his family proud by finishing with a Bronze Medal in the 12-14 Years Boys Platform and Silver Medal in the 14 Years Boys Springboard events.

End of Term and Training

Please note that whilst fixtures have ceased for this term, I encourage all students to be physically active during the holiday break. All are warmly invited to spectate at the annual 1st XI Football vs St Pat's Old Boys’ game on Thursday 10 June, kicking off at 3:40 p.m on SPC Oval 2.  Please note there will be no training on Friday 11 June given it is Founder’s Day at the College and students will be finishing early. There will also be no training on the Queen’s Birthday public holiday, Monday 14 June.

As there are Year 7 and 9 Parent Teacher Interviews taking place next Tuesday 15 June and Year 8 and 10 Parent Teacher Interviews on Thursday 17 June, there will be few training sessions taking place in Week 9. I ask that students please check the sports noticeboards and check with their coaches later this week, so that they are fully aware of their team's last training session for this term.

It is important to note that all training sessions will resume on the first day back in Term 2 on Tuesday 13 July.
