Teaching & Learning PA

We have been very busy in Prep A this term! We have learnt so many letters and sounds, we have learnt all the numbers up to 12 and we have been busy practising our favourite songs that we presented at Monday’s assembly. We had so much fun performing ‘Starfish’ by Genevieve Jereb and some Jolly Phonics songs. 

The Jolly Phonics songs are a fun way that we learn new letters and they help us to remember the sound that each letter makes. This is handy when we learn tricky sounds like ch, sh and th. To support our learning of the letters ch we went outside and had fun drawing with chalk. Preps are very clever at drawing, there were so many incredible pictures of dinosaurs, rainbows and butterflies - there was even some excellent writing!
