Whole School Expectation- Weekly Focus for Students

Know and follow playground and classroom expectations. If you are not sure what is expected ask a teacher.

Caution!

During afternoon pick up, please take care when walking through the bitumen area near the basketball court on Park Road. The area has become a little pot-holed and rough in places both inside and outside the gate. This area is on our maintenance agenda.

Reconciliation Liturgy

St Joseph's celebrated the end of Reconciliation Week with a whole school liturgy.

Austinmer/Thirroul Lions Club Peace Poster Competition 2021

The Lions Clubs International Peace Poster Contest has been conducted since 1988 in local schools by encouraging young people of the ages 11, 12 and 13 years to artistically express their visions of peace. This year’s theme is “We Are All Connected”

Each poster is judged on originality, artistic merit and expression of the theme.  The Lions Club will sponsor a number of entries over all of the participating schools to the Lions District Finals.  At that level, one entry is chosen to progress to the national level.  From the national judging, one entry moves on to the international level of the contest.

The Austinmer / Thirroul District Lions Poster Competition is usually held in conjunction with the Thirroul Seaside Festival.  At this stage, it is hopeful that the festival may be held at a later date this year where all of the entries from participating schools will be on view.

Congratulations to St Joseph's entries into the competition:

Scarlett B, Leila VA, Sophia D, Caitlin A, Claudia A, Isla B, Xavier T, Abi H, Dylan R, Vivi A,  Ollie P, Grace L.

Semester 1 reports are on the way!

Parent/ Teacher Conferences

An important part of the reporting to parents process is the parent/teacher conference. These will be conducted throughout Week 10 of the term.

Booking information will be through our COMPASS Parent Portal and will open on Monday 14 June 2021 at 8am.

All Parent/Teacher conferences will be face to face meetings.  Should you prefer a zoom, please contact the school office to make arrangements.

Kindergarten

Kindergarten students do not receive a Semester 1 written report. However, Kindergarten teachers will be holding parent/teacher conferences where parents will engage in conversation with the class teacher about their child's progress, achievements and areas for growth.
