School Wide Positive Behaviours- Themed Weeks

School Wide Positive Behaviours

Each week during Term 2 have had a collective focus as a school community on a specific behaviour from our SWPB Matrix. The purpose of this focus is to continue to build our school culture through our values and with an emphasis on demonstrating positive behaviours.

During class time, the explicit teaching of positive behaviours has been conducted by our teachers throughout the school day, so that all students can continue to develop their skills and knowledge in building a safe, calm and respectful school environment based on our values of Respect All, Embrace Learning, Aim to Innovate and Look to inspire yourself and others.

All our work around School Wide Positive Behaviours is underpinned by our College Vision:

'Edgars Creek Secondary College is a school that provides all young people with the opportunities to be passionate about learning, innovative and creative with their learning while developing a strong sense of community and global responsibility.'

During Term 2 - These have been our School Wide Positive Behaviour foci:

  • Respect All: I will follow directions given by staff in a timely manner.
  • Embrace Learning: I will arrive to class on time with all the correct learning equipment.
  • Respect All: I will use positive and inclusive language.
  • Respect All: I will talk about myself and others in a positive way online.
