University and TAFE Open Days

Some Tertiary Institutions are offering campus tours during the school holidays. 

Attending a campus tour is a great way to explore facilities, meet teaching staff, ask questions, and get a feel for student life. Check individual websites for details and bookings.

 

FREE Holiday VCE Study Lectures

From 5 July to 10 July 2021 ATAR Notes is running live-streamed VCE study lectures for students in Victoria.

 

This is a completely free event all hosted online. There are dozens of subject revision sessions available through the week, suitable for year 10 – 12 and they’re all presented by high achieving graduates. 

 

La Trobe University will also be presenting on some interesting course areas during this series, as well as a very detailed webinar on the Aspire program with tips and tricks on how to write a successful application. Sessions are as below:

 

Monday 5, 12-1pm: The changing future of work and La Trobe’s Bachelor of Arts

 

Monday 5, 2-3pm: Inspire the next generation by studying Bachelor of Education at La Trobe University

 

Tuesday 6, 12-1pm: How to receive an early offer through the Aspire Program

 

Tuesday 6, 2-3pm: Bachelor of Cybersecurity – Opens doors to one of the most rapidly expanding global industries

 

 

VTAC Online Resources

For Year 10 Students and Year 11 Students, there are tools to help you choose your subjects and plan for your tertiary education. 

 

For Year 12 Students, there is a thorough guide to researching and applying for courses, special consideration (SEAS) and scholarships including a guide on how to use course search.

La Trobe University Aspire Early Admissions Program applications are now open.

ACU (Australian Catholic University) Community Achiever Program applications are now open.

 

Year 12 students are reminded that they cannot enrol in a CSP (Commonwealth Support Place) course at university without a Tax File Number. Students must apply for a TFN online and have their identity verified through an interview at a participating Australia Post Office.  To apply and also to find out about participating Post Offices, visit TFN Application
