Senior String Quartet Win Bronze- National Chamber Music Competition
Congratulations to the members of the Senior String Quartet for being awarded a Bronze Prize in the Musica Viva National Chamber Music Competition, Strike A Chord. Nicholas Hoskyns and Anna Davidson, Violin, Millie Davidson, Viola and Milo Cooper, Cello, represented the College impeccably bringing their interpretation of Summer from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons to the competition. The work is quite remarkable as it is essentially a violin concerto and a set of duets between first violin and cello, and second violon and viola. Well done Quartet.
With regret the Principal’s Music Showcase has been postponed until Term 3 and the music office will provide information when a future date can be confirmed. Instrumental and voice lessons have quickly clicked back into remote mode and students are reminded to use their time wisely and communicate any issues with teachers and the music office.
