Permission notes for the ADPSC Gala day (Friday 11th June) went home yesterday and need to be returned by Friday 28th May. Due to the trials being held in Inverell, a coach is being provided for transport to and from Inverell. The coach will depart St Edward’s Primary at 5:45am SHARP and return to St Edward’s Primary at approx 5:00pm - 5:30pm. A message will be sent out via Compass on the estimated time of arrival back at school. It is compulsory for all children to pay for the bus whether they wish to use this mode of transport.

Trial Athletics Carnival

A permission note will be going home next week for the Trial Athletics Carnival for Years 2 - 6. This is an opportunity for myself to establish Championship events for the day of the carnival, not an opportunity to watch the running events. The trials will be held on Wednesday 9th June and we will require some parent helpers to carry out timekeeping duties. If you are able to help out, please ensure you state this on the permission note. Thank you in advance!!

High Jump

High jump will be held at school over the coming weeks. This is ONLY for students who are confident in the event or feel strongly about having a go at the event.

Wonder White Recycling Challenge

Calling all family and friends, we are asking you to collect any Wonder White bread bags and the Wonder White bread ties to bring to school for the Wonder White competition. As a school community we are hoping to collect 10 kilograms of the recyclable products which we will, in return, receive sporting equipment and go in the running for school playground equipment. There will be a collection site at each campus. Our school's Mini Vinnies group will be helping Mrs Clarke and Mrs Gippel lead this initiative.

National Primary Games

If your child returned a note for the National Primary games, keep a look out for a permission note with information about the day, teams and a cost.  Students who brought back a note for Gymnastics, your child will compete with the McGinnity's under Tamworth Gymnastic Centre.
