Fear and worry are very much a part of life. At the moment we are still living under restrictions and lockdowns due to the Coronavirus. While many of us, especially our young children may not fully understand the situation, we can all experience fear and worry. Let us remember that we can always speak to God and know that He remains in control.

This Sunday, we will hear the Gospel reading from Mark where Jesus calms the storm. It's a timely reminder that sometimes we get into difficult or fearful situations, what we experience may not always be easy, but Jesus will always be with us. God is there with us in our times of joy and in our struggles. We can “Cast all our anxiety on him because he cares for us.”  Just as children  ask you or another person for help because they know you care and can help with somethings, we can ask God to help with anything. We should never be afraid to ask God for help.  Jesus told the waves and storm to be still, and it instantly obeyed Him.  ‘Nothing is impossible for God!’ so let us put our trust in Him.

Our thoughts  and prayers go out to the family of Ruby and Grace Morrissey, and  their cousins Ella, Owen and Jack Baxter (past St Louis' students) for the care of their grandpa Danny Sexton who is in Palliative care.

May God keep you all in the palm of his hand.
