Year 10

Fed Uni Excursion

Kimberley Gardiner

Year 10 Leader

On Thursday 26th May, Year 10 students had an excursion to Federation University in Churchill.

The aim of the excursion was to give students the opportunity to have a taste at life at university in preparation for careers planning.

Students started off the day in one of the lecture theatres in which they were introduced to the university, courses on offer, activities available and accommodation options.

Students were then given a tour of the university and were able to ask questions. They visited some of the allied health classrooms and were able to see how students learn before heading out on placement.

Students completed a study skills session focusing on revision and participated in a Sports Performance information session in which they were able to complete an activity and ask questions.

Overall, the students had a fantastic day and were able to get more of an idea of what they can study at university.
