Education Week @ SKiPPS

Sharing our classroom libraries

To celebrate Education Week, today we threw open our classrooms to parents to officially launch our amazing classroom libraries and to welcome parents back into classrooms after two years of keeping our distance.

The classroom libraries have been a labour of love for our staff, and in particular our Literacy Leader Jac Morphy, for the last year. funds raised through activities like the Walkathon, sausage sizzles, SKiPPS merchandise and pavers have all gone to purchase rich and engaging books and furniture. these have then created an attractive space in each classroom - an oasis of calm that invites children to sit, read and be inspired by great literature.

It was great to see the huge numbers of families that came along to our Foundation and Year 1/2 classes this morning to see these libraries and to share a favourite book with their child.

We look forward to many more opportunities to share our learning with families in the near future.
