From the Acting Principal

National Reconciliation Week is an important time to recognise the contribution we can all make to learning about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.  The theme this year is 'Be Brave, Make Change'.

During this past week we have been celebrating Reconciliation Week.  In preparation for the week we consulted with our students about the types of activities we might do this week.  One great suggestion from the students was a poster competition and we have received so many outstanding entries for the competition.  I would like to recognise the amazing contributions of each entrant.  Commendations to Matilda Cook, Isla Hendry, Adam Hetherington and Fraser Ravenhill.  A special recognition of Charlotte Stephens for her poster, 'Nighttime Uluru'.

I hope you also enjoy the photos of our 'Sea of Hands' out the front of the ECC today.  I have been visiting Junior School classrooms this week as the hands were being made. I have enjoyed hearing about students' thinking around how each of them might 'Be Brave and Make Change'.   More photos can be seen on the Junior School page.

Netball Uniforms

This week we have received our new Griffins Netball uniforms and we are very much looking forward to seeing them on the court in coming days.  The watermark which forms an integral part of the design was created by Paige Narkle (Year Twelve).  I was delighted to see Paige's contribution recognised in the design of the uniform.
