Mary's Feast Day Liturgy

Well done to everyone involved in the celebration of The Feast of  Mary's Nativity - Mary's Birthday!.  Thank you to Mrs Lee for organising the liturgy, Mrs Hicks and the choir, our readers and liturgical dancers.  It really was a special celebration.

School Athletics

What a beautiful day we had for our Aths day last Friday.  The children had a great day and did their best in each event they competed against.  Congratulations to all students who won awards and thank you to Mr Preston for organising a fantastic day!  Also thank you to the NDC students who assisted with running the events.  And well done to the Gr 5/6 boys relay team who defeated the very competitive teachers team in the final relay!

Ashefest

Last week we had a number of children attend the Ashefest day at the Rumblara footy ground.  They had a lot of fun taking part in a variety of indigenous games and activities.  Thank you to Miss Drummond for organising this.

Year 7 Greater Shepparton College

Many of you would know that the Year 7 students attending the new Greater Shepparton College will be going to the current McGuire College site.  Further information (including bus services) will be passed on to Gr 6 students who have indicated they will be attending the Super School.

It is a good idea for our Gr 5 parents to start discussing High School for 2021, as enrolment process starts early Term 2.

Gr 2 Sleepover

The Gr 2's are looking forward to their sleepover at school tonight.  I'm looking forward to joining them for the evening!

Visual Arts

Every time I walk past our art room, I am amazed at the variety and creativity of work our children create.  Thank you to Mason, David, Laurenson and Ruby who visited me this week with their weaving project!  We are very lucky to have Mrs Wilson as our amazing art teacher!

Mr Butts' Jokes of the Week

Q:  Why do bees have sticky hair?

A:  Because they use honey combs!

Q:  What do you call an alligator in a vest?

A:  An investigator!

Well Done Gr 5/6's!

I was very impressed with the Gr 5/6 open classrooms this morning and the work they have produced this term.  The writing pieces and podcasts were a particularly high standard.  Well done students and teachers!

Congratulations to the Gr 5/6's on all their hard work in maths this term!  Below is a graph Josef Challis drew to display their performance.  As you can see their results have gone through the roof!

Last Day of Term

Please note that Friday is the last day of term and we be finishing at 2:20pm.  Buses will also be running an hour early.
