Red Room Poetry Competition

Congratulations to Sienna Thompson who was awarded the REX primary poetry award in the Red Room Poetry object competition last week.

Sienna, her parents, Mrs Canning, Mrs Hogg, Mrs Ball and a selection of her peers waited in anticipation during the live stream from the Powerhouse Musuem in Sydney and were delighted when Sienna's name was announced.

Canteen Closure 

The canteen will not be opening for the rest of the year due to a power outage effecting the freezer and drinks refrigerator. 

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Teddy Bears' Picnic BBQ

The P & C will be running a BBQ at the Teddy Bears' picnic on 13th December for all students and staff. They are offering a meal deal of  a sausage and a fruit juice drink for $4.   Sausages and fruit boxes will sell for $2 each on the day.  Please bring your money in on the day to pay the

P & C.

Please note the office will not be collecting money for this event. 

Win a trip to the Gold Coast! 

The Burke Ward Public School P&C started a major fundraiser for the school which will potentially raise $7,850 for us to put towards future projects within the school, but we cannot do this without your help!

We are currently raffling off a trip to the infamous Gold Coast! The prize includes: 

•    7 nights accommodation for 2 adults and 2 children in a resort double room at Sea World Resort & Water Park

•    Unlimited entry during your stay for 2 adults and 2 children to Sea World, Warner Bros. Movie World, Wet 'n' Wild Gold Coast and Paradise Country

•    $200 credit for food and beverage at Sea World Resort & Water Park

•    $200 Caltex fuel card

The P&C will be offering the opportunity to buy your last minute tickets at the following school events:

Wednesday, 4th December 2019: Presentation Evening

Tickets will be sold 30 minutes before the doors open to the Civic Centre

$2 per ticket or increase your chances with $40 per book.

Wednesday, 11th December 2019: K - 2 Christmas Concert

Tickets will be sold at the door for the matinee session at 12:30pm and again at the evening session at 6pm outside the school hall.

The raffle will be drawn at the K-2 Evening Christmas Concert - make sure you get your tickets! 

School Uniform Donations

The Burke Ward P&C are seeking donations of school uniforms, in particular, the black v-neck jumpers. 

Any donated items can be dropped off to the school office before the end of the term.
