Happy Reading

New Facilities.

The Library is more spacious and efficient these days. Five streamlined cabinets and computer desks have been installed for storage of stationery, display materials and equipment which have been “cluttering up” our much used and loved space.  This has allowed more room for study areas and thoroughfares during busier times. The cabinets match the other Library furniture in the Fiction and non-fiction collections.

Eric Carle

Eric Carle, artist and writer, creator of “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” and many other classics, died recently in the U.S. He was 92 and had revolutionized books for early childhood and design.

We read “Brown Bear, Brown Bear. What do you see?” and “Red Fox”, apparently simple readers with layers of meaning.

The Grade 3 & 4 class with Mrs Prevos had already learned about Eric Carle’s artistic process when they created the brightly patterned papers and collages of Beetles currently on display in our gallery of Primary art.

Congratulations!

Well done students and families! We have had very few overdue books recently and it is great to see so many books being borrowed and returned regularly.

New Books

We finally have Episode 11 of “The Bad Guys” by Aaron Blabey, the one missing book from the series.

If you have any queries, please contact Mrs Earl or Miss MacKay in the Library.
