Children’s book week and book character parade

Save the date and start planning your costume!

Tuesday 24 August

In the hall (subject to change)

Please see the Library Captains Blog for further information!

Parade begins at 9.15am and concludes at 10.30am

Students can wear their costumes to school and stay in them for the day!

Children’s book week celebrates the marvelous breadth of talent and diversity of authors and illustrators we enjoy in Australia.

During the next 4 weeks students will have the opportunity to hear and experience some of the shortlisted books of the year.

We encourage students and of course staff to dress as their favourite book characters, start checking out inspiration via pinterest or online. Costumes do not need to be hired. Re-use, recycle and re- invent!

Premier’s Reading Challenge Wall of Honour

The following students have completed the challenge! Congratulations to you for reading widely and sharing your favourite books in the book review section of the website! A marvelous achievement! There are 50 or so days left in the challenge, please email Sophie on sophie.strang@education.vic.gov.au  or your child’s teacher for signing on information.  Keep a list of your child’s reading and Sophie can add this to your child’s record if there are issues with the website.
