Year 6 robotics and coding

In year six, we have been visited by a member of the Melbourne City Football Club every week, to help us make some robots called score-bots.

We had to build them in the first and second week, and now we are starting to do some robot soccer championships! Every week we play some sort of outdoor game, like soccer or European handball, but our favourite time of the session, is the robot matches.

We have been learning new games, and learning new skills! I am pretty sure that nobody has really “made a robot” before, and for a lot of us, this was a first – making robots to play soccer with!

It has been a great experience to learn about how robots are made, and to learn to code. Olivia and Georgie 6K

IPS once again partnered with Melbourne City Football club for robotics and coding. Thanks Melbourne FC. We have loved it.

Year 2 and Year 3

We are currently canvassing the views of our Year 2 and Year 3 students on several options that may be available  later this year.
