FRENCH

Bonjour tout le monde!

I hope you are all doing well. We are back in remote learning and I’ve had to modify my lessons for each grade:

• Last week, the Preps practiced the French song that they will present at Assembly in Week 05. Mums and dads might have had the opportunity to practice their French body parts with this fun activity 😊.  This week, we are continuing with our ‘Remote learning topic’ which is ‘animals’.  The students will watch a new Barbapapa episode and learn a couple of new animal words.
   
• Year 1 and 2 students are learning clothes vocabulary.  Some students have completed a crossword to practice writing the new words.  Here are two photos of Leela’s Crossword and Lenika’s drawings.  Congratulations girls! You’ve done excellent work.

• Year 3 and 3/4 students are learning that counting to 100 in French can be bizarre at times. 
  How do we say 70 in French? Sixty ten!!
  80? Four times twenty!!
  90? Four times twenty 10!!! 
  Yeap, that makes sense!!

• Students in Year 4/5 and 5/6 are learning new verbs. This week we are focusing on verbs ‘aller’ (to go) and ‘être’ (to be).
