COACH RECOGNITION

Though the season was cut short, our coaches throughout the junior section in 2021 showed great enthusiasm and knowledge to each of their teams. A massive thank you to all of those that helped out with coaching this year! There was a great mix of old and new faces which was great to see.

We also saw some familiar faces on the sidelines of the Junior State Championships with Cam McKenzie, Annabel Kennedy, Lucy Dunlop, and Lucia D’Onofrio as coaches. 

One of the focuses from this year from the junior committee was coaching education. We were fortunate enough to have John Mowat run sessions for both our junior and senior coaches. These sessions covered a variety of topics including planning sessions, managing and engaging teams, as well as some technical coaching tips and tricks. Looking forward to the 2022 season, we endeavour to run more of these sessions. 

Further to that, we have a number of coaches who are already Level 1 coaches or are completing their Level 1 practical assessment. It is great to see so much experience amongst our membership.

The 2022 season is looking very promising for the TEM Juniors section!
