Specialist News: Performing Arts

Junior Production

Well done to all the Foundation and Year 1/2 students who performed the production ‘Colour Catastrophe’ last term.  The students shone bright for the audience as they sang, danced and dazzled us with their talent.  I am extremely proud of all the students and what they accomplished in such a short time. Thank-you to all staff and parents who have supported the production and helped out in some way, whether it be extra rehearsals in class or getting costumes organised.  It really is a team effort and would not have been as successful without everyone’s help. If you would like to purchase a DVD or USB of the production please follow the link below. It truly was a performance to remember.

Indonesian Day

Selamat siang

This term we are holding Indonesian Day, which is a whole-school celebration of Indonesian culture and language. We ask students to dress up in either red and white, or Indonesian clothes if they have access to some (think sarongs, batik).

Indonesian Day this year is July 29th, which is Thursday in Week 3! The day will be spent creating crafts, doing activities, games and sports which focus on celebrating Indonesian culture. Students will participate in their classes with other teachers from their year level leading activities.

Terima kasih!
