Welcome back to Term 3 everyone.
I hope that during the break families and children were able to relax, refresh and
find time to enjoy each other’s company.
Grandparents and Special Friends Mass
Due to the uncertainty around the Covid outbreak at this time we have decided to postpone our Grandparents’ and Special Friend’s Mass. So save the NEW Date which is Thursday 16th September.
More information will be sent home closer to the date.
Sunday Gospel Readings
During Term 3 each class at St Kevin’s School is allocated the gospel reading for the following weekend’s mass. In Religious Education lessons the gospel is read and discussed with the students to unpack its meaning and message. Then each class designs a poster which reflects their understanding of this gospel. The poster is displayed on the parish website This week it was Junior D’s turn and here is their work which reflects this gospel. The focus for this week’s gospel is that we all need to take the time to pray and be still.

Don't forget about the parish website which has fabulous articles and children’s activities. Also each week in the Family Page and Fun Worksheetssection of the website there are links to that weekend's Gospel activities. There are two gospel links: one for the juniors and one for the seniors. These activities can be downloaded and printed or just viewed. These worksheets will help the children understand the gospel message for that particular reading.
