Principal's Report

Vermont Secondary College

Dear School Community,

It has been a difficult second term in terms of interruptions to the normal school program and no doubt this has had an effect on students, staff and families alike.

So thank you for your continued support through these difficult times and hopefully the term holidays will give us a chance to draw breath, spend valued time with family and friends and some time to reflect on the current situation and get some perspective on it. Cleary this is not going to go away any time soon so it is important to build resilience and be able to adapt to the new situation whenever possible.

Take care out there, Tony Jacobs

TAX DEDUCTIBLE BUILDING AND LIBRARY FUNDS

As tax time is approaching, parents/guardians are reminded that donations to Vermont Secondary College’s Library Fund and Building Fund are Tax Deductible and the College welcomes donations of any size.

While we have received the pre-planning funds for a new gymnasium, and are hopeful the rest of the funding will soon be granted, the majority of this funding will go towards the planning and construction of the building itself. The college will need to provide the extra funding for furniture, weights equipment, tiered electronic seating, any heating/cooling requirments, overhead projectors etc. for the gym itself, the weights room and the 2 classrooms within the complex.

Direct deposits to: BSB 313-140; Account No: 12050892, Account Name: Vermont Secondary College. Please use your child’s student code as the identifier. All money raised is used to enhance facilities for your student/s. Receipts will be forwarded to you for tax purposes.

There will be no Year 11 or Year 12 classes held on that day. We are aware that some Year 11 students doing an advanced subject will be on the Year 11 ski trip.
