Principal's Report

That’s a wrap for Term 2.

Congratulations to all our students, parents, grandparents and teachers for navigating what was another disrupted term which included more remote learning.  I hope our school made it as easy as it could be to engage in learning whilst acknowledging the difficulty some families have during these times.

I am very proud of our community and thank you all for your support and understanding this term.

Parent Teacher Interviews

Under the current restrictions we CAN still go ahead with face to face parent meetings.  These are scheduled for 15th and 16th July.  Please ensure you make your appointment via SENTRAL (instructions in email sent from class teacher) - please note that some teachers have different availability.

Friday July 16th will be a pupil free day so parents will be able to meet with the teacher throughout the day (Friday).

Students are welcome to attend.

Student Reports

Student reports will be published on SENTRAL by 3 pm.  Lots of work goes into the reports from our teachers to be as thorough as possible about your child’s academic and social progression.  Please take the time to read your child’s report with them.

Mrs L

Losing great teachers like Mrs L to retirement is never easy for a school but on behalf of all students, parents and teachers, thank you Mrs L for the years of work you have put into Langwarrin PS to make (especially) Visual Arts one of the highlights for the students.  We wish you well for your future!

ANZAC Garden

Thank you for the wonderful feedback about the ANZAC Garden.  It has been one of the highlights of the term for me.  Now that it is open I encourage you all to sit, walk and enjoy it.  I do ask that you ensure your child/ren stays off the mulch as we have many indigenous and native plants trying to grow.  Early next term I will be inviting Peta Murphy (Member for Dunkley) to come and officially open the garden.  Now the garden belongs to us (LPS school community) can I ask that we look out for it and report any damage? It is on CCTV however, if we could all play a part in ensuring we keep it safe that would be great!

School Tour

There will be a school tour for prospective Prep parents (who missed out due to COVID) on Friday 25th beginning at 3.15pm.  Please call the office to book!

Last Day

Have a nice break,
