Principal's Report

We are getting closer to getting all of our community back onto the site safely. The school will be deliberately careful to not allow anyone on the site (especially inside the building) unless they have been cleared by the Department of Health - as it may put us all back into quarantine. We will take an abundance of caution in the first few days of return and into the coming weeks. Please do your bit (as you have already) to support the plan.

Pick Up and Drop Off Plan

The PDF you received by Compass Newsfeed on Friday evening is repeated below in the link. Here are the headlines as we move to the start of the new week.

• Find attached (PDF) which outlines the drop off and pick up plan for all students starting Monday morning
• Please follow the directions carefully to protect the health and safety of our community
• Parents are required to send their Department of Health Clearance email to Emma and receive a response before they are allowed to bring their child back to school (school email is south.melbourne.ps@education.vic.gov.au)
• Any child without a clearance will not be permitted to enter the building and must continue working from home. These students will be provided with a "Working From Home" sheet
• All parents with DH Clearance must drop their child off outside the gates but remain within walking distance in case their child does not have clearance (you will then have to take them home)
• All parents must wear masks and socially distance at all times when around the school
• OSHClub will not operate on Monday morning, but will resume from Monday afternoon onwards (so long as your child has a DH Clearance letter)
• No after school programs (such as Chess, Tennis, Engineers) will run until further notice
• Canteen will operate as per normal (order online)
• The end of the day has a staggered timetable (some children finish school early to disperse the crowds) - see the details in the PDF
• The school building must not be entered under any circumstances until further notice
