SCSA

There have been lots of trials and team selections over the past week with Cross Country, AFL, Volleyball and Netball all scheduled over the first few weeks of this term.

SCSA Cross Country and AFL were both cancelled and at this stage we are unsure if they will be able to be rescheduled. As there are two to three SCSA days for each sport (except Cross Country) rescheduling is not as simple as just organising another day and needs to be slotted in around all the schools’ already full calendars. I will keep everyone updated once I hear anything.

SCSA Volleyball (next Wednesday 28 July) and Soccer (Week 5) are the next things on the calendar with the Victorian Netball Championships due to be held in Week 6.

Well done to all the students who have tried out for these teams and a big thank you to those that have assisted with umpiring.

Aerobics

The Aerobics team has continued to practice on Wednesday mornings. They met this week via Microsoft Teams and they are really starting to demonstrate very sharp skills from the Level 2 routine. This week they also learnt the 'straddle' and 'pike press', which meant they had to use their upper body strength to lift the lower part of their body off the ground.

The morning sessions will continue each Wednesday either via Teams or face-to-face when we return back to school.

Keep up the great work girls!

SEGAP

There have been numerous trials last term and last week in preparation for the SEGAP after school competition. The Juniors were due to have their first game this afternoon but due to our current lockdown this will need to be rescheduled. I will provide an updated draw once the SEGAP schools get further information.

The teams have been practising at lunchtimes and this will continue when school resumes after our current lockdown period.
