Principal's Report
Achieving Excellence Together”
I hope everyone is safe and healthy.
What a start to the term. Not what we had planned for but certainly eventful.
Thank you to all the families who have been connecting and staying updated through Sentral. This platform still remains our primary form of communication and it is essential that you are connected and checking for updates as they come through.
We will be continuing with wellbeing check-in each morning and staggered Masterclasses for years levels. Masterclasses are an opportunity for children to connect online with each other and their classroom teacher. Teachers will explicitly teach/model a skill or understanding directly linked to the Literacy or Numeracy task that has been uploaded for that day. Students are encouraged to access the Masterclass to also ask any clarifying questions they may have about the learning or the task that has been set.
We still have a number of devices ready and waiting for families who require them to access on-line learning. Our office does remain open but a a mask MUST be worn.
Please continue to look after yourselves, reach out when you need, do things that look after your wellbeing and soak up all the small things that can turn your day around.
(My girls and my puppy help me through these lockdowns).
Enrolments for 2022 are now open! Please contact the office or download an enrolment pack from our website if you want to come and join our amazing school!
Over the last year I have been working with our teachers, parents and students to reflect upon our school and our vision for all our students.
This journey was a great way to reflect on our past, our present and our future.
I am pleased to share with you our new School Vision and Mission:
We are committed to Achieving Excellence Together through our school values of Respect, Learning and Cooperation:
Thank you to all who took the time to provide feedback and opinion to this new vision for our school.
This vision and mission will sit forefront and guide our work moving forward to ensure we are successful for all students.
Today we say goodbye to one of our prep teachers Maria Neo who is moving to New South Wales and Karly Michael who works in the office. We wish them both all the best and Thank you for your dedication and work with our families at Roxy Park PS.
This term we do however welcome a new Prep team:
