Many Thanks for your Participation

Thank you to all those who contributed to the success of our 10th Anniversary. It was great to see so many families, past students, staff  and families and our many guests at the Mass , blessing and supper.

We really appreciate the plates brought along to share and the way everyone stayed on after the Mass to socialise and share in our history walk.

It is evident that OLSC is a wonderful community and that we have built a great history together.

The staff spent many hours putting the history walk and Learning Centre feature items together and I would like to thank them for all their hard work. A big thank you to Gunther for his tireless work in bringing our external spaces to their best.

I would also like to make a special thank you to our choir - they did an amazing job leading the singing and helping us pray with heart and voice.

It was very affirming to see everyone engrossed in the history walk and staying around and catching up with other families , past staff and visitors while enjoying some supper.

This 10 years has gone very fast and has been packed with events of significance as well as the joys and blessings of the day to day.

A Change to OLSC Staffing

On Wednesday evening at the staff meeting Fr Albert and I informed the staff that I will be finishing my time at Our Lady of the Southern Cross at the end of Term 2. Being the Principal of this school from its inception in 2008 has been a source of great joy. I have been very fortunate to work with wonderful teams of staff and amazing communities of students and families over this 10 year period. I have enjoyed the satisfaction of seeing the school grow from a single centre to the full completion of our Master Plan and grounds development.

Family commitments are now going to take a priority in my life as I retire from my role at Our Lady of the Southern Cross and the teaching profession as well. It has been a great honour to serve this community  and the students have been a treasured part of my last 10 years.

Thank you for being such a wonderful community and caring for each other with such heart.

I plan to enjoy every second of the next 3 months and take many fond memories with me.

The position of Principal will be advertised shortly and Fr Albert and Catholic Education Melbourne will be facilitating the process over the next 2 months. Please keep them in your prayers as they embark on the appointment process.

Regards,        Jennifer
