Public Speaking News
Congratulations to Eliza McLachlan of 7G and Taz Reuel of 7C who both competed in Melbourne at the semi -final of Legacy Junior Public Speaking Award on Monday 17th September. Both girls were equal winners at the regional final in Warrnambool. For the second round the girls had to deliver a new speech (5 minutes) and also deliver a two minute impromptu speech. Eliza spoke about the need for education to be a right not a privilege, and Taz spoke about innovations arising out of the horror of 20th century wars. The impromptu topic was ‘Use it or lose it!” Both girls were excellent ambassadors for our school and they hope to participate again next year!
