Sporting Update

Lightning Premiership

Congratulations to all students and teachers who attended the Lightning Premiership competition playing netball, football and soccer. Awesome efforts all round!

Congratulations to our footballers who played hard today and did a great job. Boys played exceptionally well..we lost to Leongatha and St Lawence..but were very proud in defeat..highly competitive and 100% effort was given by the whole team.  We won our last game against St Joes..which was a great way to end a very successful day. The boys were enthusiastic and played together admirably as a team all day.

They did our school proud. Woohoo!

All the netballers showed fantastic sportsmanship. They all tried their absolute best however unfortunately were unable to come away with a win. They should be so proud of themselves, they represented the school extremely well.

Soccer team did really well. Finished joint third overall (out of 8 teams) on 8 points. Narrowly missed out on the Grand Final.

Chairo 0-0 (Draw)

Leongatha 1-1 (Draw) we were leading 1-0 but they equalised in final minutes. Jack Harvey kicked a great... goal.

Inverloch/Kongwak 0-2 (Win for us) thanks to Max Harvey's 2 goals. No losses which was amazing considering most of the students had never played soccer before. Great teamwork and determination.

Rory Nettle

Rory has been representing Loch Primary School at SSV (Sporting School’s Victoria) U12 Football, he  made it through the Gippsland Trials, Country Trials and to the State Trials.  Rory has shown huge determination and persistence with his training and desire to do his best.  We acknowledge his high level of skill in sport in general but particularly in Football and basketball.  Unfortunately Rory was not selected for the state team, this time round,  however we think he is a super star and applaud him for his efforts and know we will continue to see him playing high level sport in the future.

Cross Country

Congratulations to all of our students who competed at Division Cross Country. Fantastic effort by everyone. Thank you to Mrs Spence for offering early morning trainings in preparation making sure everyone was fit and ready to run.
