Willow in the Kanga Cup

Recently our own Willow N competed in the Kanga Cup, helping her team to victory. Congratulations, Willow.

This is a significant achievement because the Kanga Cup is the largest International Youth Football Tournament in the Southern Hemisphere and is held annually in Canberra. The week-long event proudly champions the mission of ‘Uniting the Youth of the World through Football’ and the tournament is sanctioned by the Football Federation Australia and the Asian Football Confederation.

Once again, well done to Willow!

Cross Country

Wednesday 19 June saw our Cross Country team competing in the regional finals at Bundoora park. Poppy O (Year 7) finished second overall! This is huge effort. She nearly ran down first but came up only about 20 metres short. She ran the 3 kilometres in 11:39, which is essentially low level flying!

The 14 boys (Noah R, Caden B, Toby R and Michael T) came third in the teams event. Noah came 4th individually. Lochie A in year 7 also put in a huge effort and run a personal best.

State cross country finals were held on 18 July where Poppy came in 13th place; this is a fantastic effort!
