Celebrating Arts At Aitken

Last week more than 200 students took to the stage in two concerts celebrating the wonderfully rich and diverse range of Performing Arts at the College. The outdoor stage for the Twilight Music Concert hosted students from Year 1 through to Year 12 sharing their love of Music. There were performances from soloists and groups as well as a number of ensembles and classes.

On Thursday night, the Director’s Choice Gala Concert featured almost 100 students from Year 4 to Year 12, showcasing work from Media, Dance, Music and Theatre. We also previewed a song from the 2020 College Musical, 'The Addams Family'.

I am incredibly grateful to the Performing Arts staff and many other staff who support our students in sharing their talents with us all. And to the parents who are a constant source of encouragement.

Vision Outbreak

As part of the Twilight Concert, we launched this year’s Kool Skools Album, 'Vision Outbreak'. Students who recorded ten original songs for the album presented their work to a very appreciative audience. Copies of the CD were also on sale and still are for $10 each, or for $6.99 you can go to your favourite streaming service and download the entire album to your music device. Individual songs are also available for 0.99c each.

Fairview School Concert

Tickets went on sale last Monday for this year’s Fairview School Concert, 'World of Colour'. There are two performances on Tuesday 26 November and Thursday 28 November at 6.30pm. As in previous years, to ensure all families have fair access to tickets, please limit your booking to a total of six tickets per family; this is not six per performance, it is six in total. There are usually some extra tickets available and we will let you know when you are welcome to book more.
