FAREWELL CLASS OF 2019

It is with a great sense of pride and a touch of sadness that we are saying goodbye to our Year 12 Class of 2019. It has been amazing to witness their journey over the last 6 years and to see their growth into confident and successful young adults. We are wishing them all the best for their future and with whatever pathway they choose.

On Monday the 21st of October our Year 12 students were farewelled by both staff and students in a whole school assembly. The assembly was a fantastic opportunity for our senior students to share their experiences, their best moments and words of wisdom with other year levels.

STEP UP

Step Up starts on Monday 2nd December and it is important that all students attend the 2 weeks.  All year levels will be commencing the 2020 curriculum and learning about the expectations of their New Year level.

 VICTORIAN SCHOOLS MOBILE PHONE BAN

As you are aware, the Victorian Government' has implemented a ban on mobile devices (phones and Smart watches) in all schools.

From 2 December 2019:

  • Students are not to use their mobile devices on school grounds
  • If mobile devices are brought to school, they must be switched off and securely stored e.g. in their secure locker
  • If a student fails to comply with the ban, and is found with their mobile phone on school grounds, it will be confiscated and consequences will result.

Our new 'Students using Mobile Phones Policy' will be available next week and will provide more information about the ban.

REMEMBRANCE DAY

We constantly have opportunities for students to represent the school in the community and on Sunday 10th November two of our students represented the College at the Annual State Remembrance Service at the Springvale War Cemetery.  Thank you to Grace Tibusious and Tyson Magila for attending and laying a wreath from our school. At school we observe one minute’s silence at 11 am, in memory of those who lost their lives or suffered in wars and armed conflicts.
