First Holy Communion

Our thoughts and prayers are with the candidates for First Holy Communion this weekend. Students will be receiving the Sacrament either on Saturday evening at 6 pm Mass or Sunday morning at the 10 am Mass. Candidates will have their practice on Friday afternoon at the Cathedral at 3:30 pm in preparation for receiving the Sacrament.

A Prayer for First Holy Communion

Dear Father,

we will soon celebrate a special day.

We will receive your Son, Jesus Christ, in the Eucharist for the very first time.

Thank you for sharing Jesus with us  in the bread and wine at Mass.

Help us be renewed each time we come to the table of the Lord

May we live as Jesus showed us, each and every day of our lives.

Hear our prayers as we prepare for  First Holy Communion.

Amen.

Family Mass

This Sunday we invite all our families to attend the Parish Mass at 10 am and join us for a cuppa afterwards. If you will be able to attend please bring along a plate of food to share. 

Welcome to Baby Scully

Congratulations to Jessica,  Mat and Grace Scully on the arrival of a baby girl on Monday. We wish Mrs Scully all the best while she is on maternity leave.

Sacraments

Today Evie McGinness received her First Reconciliation with her class at the Cathedral. Congratulations Evie!

We pray for the Wain children, Alex, Olivia, and Lilly. They will be baptised at the Cathedral on Saturday at the 9:15 am Mass.  This is a big step along their journey in Faith.
