Principal's Message

From the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

Yesterday's Grandparents and Special Friends Day was a lovely way of building and connecting our families within the school community. Grandparents enjoyed the morning visiting the classrooms and joining in the activities on offer. After attending mass together our special visitors enjoyed a delicious morning tea in the hall and were entertained by our school choir.

After four years of not having this event it was such a pleasure to have our Grandparents and Special Friends come along for another visit. Let's hope we can keep it on the calendar as an annual event!

A special thanks to the Parents Association and to all parents who assisted with the catering. Your support on the day was greatly appreciated. There are a few plates in the office to be collected.

Year 4 Camp

Next Wednesday our Year 4 students head off on a three day camp to Stringybark Lodge in Gembrook.

This camp provides an opportunity for students to build co-operative skills, team building strategies and enhance a sense of group community. It also builds on their independence,  resilience and social skills. We look forward to exploring this campsite area with its many features and fun activities.

Parent Teacher Interviews

Parent/Teacher Interviews will be held after school on Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd of August. Meetings are strictly 10 minutes and spaces are limited. Meetings can be made either in person or via a Google Meet. You can select your preferred option when making your booking.

Please note that if you have a PSG meeting with Mrs Neil, you are not required to book in for this parent/teacher chat.

To make a booking please log in to www.schoolinterviews.com.au and enter the code 78wyh

Chocolate Fundraiser Money

Thank you to all the families that have returned their chocolate money.

We still have a few outstanding so could you please ensure all money and/or chocolates are returned to school as soon as practically possible. If you are in a position to sell more chocolates, please contact the office.

Thank you again for all your support!

Condolences

Our condolences to the Mazzeo family on the the passing of Claudia's grandfather (Year 2) who passed away recently.

Free Umbrellas

If you are yet to do so please remember to collect your FREE COHR promotional umbrella from the office (one per family). These have been purchased with funds given to our school for promotional purposes. They are free on the condition that you use them publicly when the need arises; at local sports grounds and when you are out and about.

Stay dry and help us promote our school in the wider community.

Our Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program preparations are well on the way.

We are calling for volunteers to help us at each session. It is vital that we have enough helpers at each session.
