Science Week - August 12-20

Next week is the 2023 National Science Week. The theme this year is Innovation: Powering Future Industries. The theme connects to our Inquiry theme this term of Curiosity and Discovery. Next week, students will explore the theme in class through the curriculum focuses of:  

• Science as a Human Endeavour
• Chemical Sciences
• Physical Sciences
• Earth and Space Sciences, and
• Biological Sciences.

At St Mary's, we encourage students to always be curious about their world and explore science through our themes and programs, such as our block garden, Sea is our best friend and our S.T.E.M specialist. 

We look forward to sharing some of the amazing science learning students have engaged in at the end of term in an Inquiry Learning showcase.
