Open Boys Basketball

On Thursday 29 June our Year 11/12 Boys Basketball Team travelled to Seaford Secondary College to play the first round of the Statewide Knockout Basketball competition. Three games were played, with the first and most challenging against Willunga High School.

The game saw many lead changes with tight defence from both teams and the final result only coming in the last few minutes with Evan hitting a layup to clinch the lead and Ryley sealing the game with two free throws to win by three.

The second game against Seaford Secondary College saw all students have a positive impact in both offence and defence which lead to a 10 point lead at half time. This great play continued in the second half with a final score of 42 to 26. Our third game against Christies Beach was a good opportunity for the team to practice different defensive strategies which lead us to a 44 to 25 point win. The team will continue to the State Finals in August.
