Languages Week

It was an exciting time in the Cappenburg Languages Centre this week as we celebrated National Languages Week. Students of Languages participated in many activities that enhanced their learning. Students of Italian in Year 7 made the Italian antipasto dish Bruschetta, while Year 9 students enjoyed making delicious Italian pizza from scratch. Year 8 students have been learning about Italian breakfast foods in classes and were able to taste a range of Italian biscotti, caffè and cornetti.

Lunch time activities included bocce in the Italian room and origami making in the Japanese room. Many students had never tried these activities before and had fun giving it a go for the first time. 

Create-your-own Anime Character Competition

Our annual competition is on again! Entries are due to the Languages Department by the end of Week 6 with the winner to be announced in Week 7. The top three entries will win amazing prizes from Daiso Japan. We look forward to seeing your creations.
