Colour Fun Run Update

Earlier this year, we were forced to postpone our Colour Fun Run due to the badly timed downpour on the day it was scheduled. Very soon afterward we entered our new normal of social isolation and this has meant that the event has had to be postponed further. It was such a great disappointment but we do hope that there will be a chance to hold the run later in the year if the current situation changes enough so that we can all be safe while we celebrate together. The Parents and Friends Association would like to extend a great big thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding while we work out how to manage the situation. 

Ticketing

There are many of you who will have already purchased tickets for the Colour Fun Run and we would like to assure you that the tickets and fundraising money is currently being held with the ticket event company who helped us manage those purchases. We have records of all purchases so that we can honour them later when we are able to hold the event. Given that we are experiencing such unprecedented changes to the way we function as a fundraising body and that we do not know how this year will eventually play out, we would like to offer some choice to families of NMPS as to how they would like to see the ticket sales money be used. 

All funds raised in this raffle will go towards the top oval repair and re-landscape project. 

Your three options are:

1. Donate the money directly to the school to go towards school fundraising projects - currently we are raising money to improve the school oval, rebuild the retaining wall and landscape to create a more functional area for our children to use
2. Receive a refund for your ticket payment (less the booking cost of 0.50c per ticket) 
3. Keep hold of your ticket in the booking system so that you can use it when we are able to hold the Colour Run

If you would like to donate your ticket cost to the school or receive a refund, please email the P&F Association at north.melbourne.ps.committee@gmail.com with your booking ID (you will find this on the confirmation email from TryBooking that you will have received at the time of purchase) by the end of this term, close of business Friday June 26 2020. Donations and refunds will be processed over the week following and the funds will be available within 5-10 days of processing. If we do not hear from you, we will assume that you are happy to continue to hold on to your ticket to use at the Colour Fun Run when it is rescheduled. 

Colour Run Raffle

As part of our fundraising efforts for the Colour Fun Run we held a raffle with lots of prizes donated by local businesses. Tickets were sent home in term one and all tickets that were returned by the close date just before the Colour Fun Run were held at school where we had plans to draw the raffle at the close of the Fun Run. Unfortunately, this also had to be postponed.

Given we have to continue with the postponement of the Colour Fun Run, we wanted to at least finalise the raffle and award prizes to some lucky winners who supported our fundraiser.
