Grade 3 Project Planning
Melbourne Adventure Project
Grade 3 students engaged in a Melbourne Adventure Project where they chose a couple of attractions to visit (hypothetically) and determined the entry costs. They needed to work out how they were going to get there on public transport, whether it was more than one mode and the cost of transport. They included the cost of snacks and lunch. The students then worked out the total cost of the outing and worked out the change they would go home with from $100. The day was segmented into specific times (to the minute in some cases). Travel distances to the city and from one attraction to another were worked out (km and m) and the total tallied it up.
