Principal's Message
Bonnie PAS
Dear Parents and Carers
Welcome to our first newsletter for term 3. We will again be using these newsletters as a tool to keep the community connected and as a celebration of the learning our students are doing as part of the remote learning program.
At this stage, we do not know how long we will be engaging in remote learning so to ensure we are meeting the needs of our families, we will be sending out a survey to learn about your experience over the past two weeks. We see this second stage of remote learning as a different experience to that of term 2, as we believe it may be for a more sustained period. The survey will be sent out via Compass early next week and will be open for a 48 hour period. The feedback will be used to inform our program for the upcoming weeks.
All Abilities Playspace
As you are aware, in 2019 we received a $200 000 grant through the Department of Premier and Cabinet's Community Support Fund to build an all abilities play space. The School Council is pleased to announce that this area is nearing completion. Some key features of this project are:
- Wheelchair/pram access via Gold St. We now have two wheelchair-accessible entry points to the school grounds.
- 2 mini-trampolines
- Sensory squish pole garden
- Wheelchair accessible path throughout the area
- Kitchen cubby area
This project enhances the play area for our community and we look forward to it being enjoyed by our students for many years to come.
Please take the time to enjoy our first virtual assembly hosted by our grade 6 school captains. You will find the video on the Virtual Assembly tab.
Kind Regards
Megan Smith
