Primary Assembly 25/3
The second Primary Assembly for Term 1 was held on Monday March 25. Students were presented with a variety of awards including
Reading Awards
25 Night Certificates were presented to
Poppy Caldow, Ella Duncan, Harry Smith, Alex White, Baylen Domaschenz, Bridie Hartas, Adelle Joubert & Jayce Schapel from the Foundation/1 Class
Bailey Hartas, Marlee Henderson, Grace Neall, Declan Joubert, Jack Smith, Lily Eyles, Ajay Lees & Ayla Domaschenz from the 2/3/4 Class
Rachel Townend & Madison Munn from the 5/6 Class
50 Nights Certificates were also presented to
Bailey Hartas, Declan Joubert & Jack Smith (2/3/4 Class)
Students were also given awards for specific achievements
Foundation/1 Class
John Woodbridge - for improved focus on the carpet and for attempting work even if it challenges him
Sandra Jain - for showing initiative and always being willing to do jobs around the classroom
Poppy Caldow - for showing initiative and always being willing to do jobs around the classroom
Jayce Schapel - got learning the days of the week in Auslan so quickly
2/3/4 Class
Teneisha Phillips - Always presenting exceptional work
Oscar Dunstan - for improving during spelling tests and scoring full marks 3 times
Lily Poole - For producing an outstanding recount and descriptions during writing classes
Bailey Hartas - for excellent results in both Place Value & Addition & Subtraction tests
Star Reader awards were presented by Jenny Austin, to the following students
Madhav Santhosh Nair & Harry Smith (Foundation), Bridie Hartas (Year 1), Mason Colgate (Year 2), Marcus McIntyre (Year 3), Oscar Dunstan (Year 4), Johnny Neall (Year 5) & Rachel Townend (Year 6)
Three awards were also given to students for their outstanding efforts in the Artwork they produced for the Edenhope High School Reunion, Christa Jain, Darcie Hessey & Jayce Schapel.
The Giraffe award was presented to Rachel Townend for showing leadership skills on Harmony Day.
The students sang the song they had practised on Harmony Day
Buddies
The 5/6 Class and the F/1 students had their first Buddies session of the year and created some beautiful Easter Baskets together.
The Better Buddies Program pairs new primary school students with an older buddy to help students entering their first year of primary school to feel safe, valued and connected to the school community.

Last day of Term - Easter Fun
Primary students have enjoyed a fun filled last day of term - with a visit from the Easter Bunny.
The students found and enjoyed plenty of eggs!
Primary students have also been down the street today (Friday April 5) to see the artwork they entered into the Red Tail Gallery Competiton, on display.
They also popped into visit Mel at the Edenhope Library and then enjoyed lunch and a play down at the Lions Park.
Some students also enjoyed an improtu dance thanks to entertainer Dan Burt, who they bumped into outside the Gallery.
A great way end a very busy term!
