2017

By Andy Callow (Principal)

Summer holidays provide a wonderful opportunity to rest, recover and reflect.

During the slower paced weeks of early January I’ve reflected back over the kaleidoscope of vibrant images of people and recent events at BHCS and I believe that 2016 has been our best year to date.

I always enjoy the way we conclude our Celebration Night with an upbeat slideshow that gives a whirlwind overview of the school year.  It’s always chock full of images of students and staff having a great deal of fun while learning together.

Schools can be rated by comparing academic and sporting results and the like, or by considering the quality of the learning resources, buildings and grounds. On such metrics 2016 was definitely one of our best years, however, I believe the most important aspects of a school defy being given a numerical value.  How do you calculate culture or measure morale?

Welcome to the new school year.  Welcome especially to the new families at BHCS. I encourage you to have a look at the slideshow and see if you agree with me that it projects joy, laughter and the dignity of relationships within our community.

As we stand at the brink of a new school year we can look forward to 2017 also being dominated by joy-in-learning and a positive education environment.  God has been so good to us here at Belgrave and, despite all the challenges that this year will bring, we can stand upon the rock of His great faithfulness and unchanging love.

Further on and deeper in!
