Leadership Day -All Systems Go!

The Junior School is buzzing with excitement in the lead up to our annual Leadership Day on Thursday 30th August, 9.15am-11.30am in the Conference Hall. Year 5 students will be shining the light on each other and all year levels will showcase their leadership skills.

It’s a privilege seeing the development of our students when they learn the 7 Habits and begin to apply them in their lives. The Leader in Me is an inside out approach to personal growth. Everyone is on the journey of self-discovery and mastery. The paradigm of our whole school leadership model is that every child and adult is a leader in their own lives – leaders do the right thing when no one is watching. Leaders have both formal and informal roles at Oakleigh Grammar. The key though, is that we share our humanity by understanding the significance of an interdependent world; one where we all need each other, embracing differences and synergising to create 3rd alternatives and a better world! The Leader in Me is underpinned by enduring, timeless principles, which teach and develop both character and competency.

We look forward to seeing you all on the day. We are also looking forward to seeing members of our Executive Team. Our Year 2 students invited every member with a personalised invitation – now that’s leadership and being proactive!
