Cabaret Evening

After a year’s break due to the ACC Concert Spectacular in 2018, the Music Department staged it’s popular cabaret night at the end of term 3. A new year also saw a change in venue from the Mentone RSL club to a transformed Br. Peter McIntosh Hall.  

The evening featured the College Big Band, Year 12 Rock Group, Senior Vocal group and the debut performance of our Junior Vocal group.

A particular highlight of the Cabaret night has always been the energetic playing of the Big Band as they accompany a range of student and staff vocalists.  Vocalists such as students Massimo Vignalli , Lachlan Mindum, Patrick Smith and Ronan Traynor joined staff members Ms Laura Matthews, Ms Maria Haggett, Mr Joseph Perna and Mr Ben Wilson in performing a range of popular tunes drawn from the 1930’s through to the 1990’s.

Many thanks to all of the many people who helped stage this event including Music department staff, Canteen staff (catering), Maintenance team and the College Audio- Visual team.

Congratulations to all performers and particularly the students in the Big Band who learned the parts for an extensive program of over ten pieces of music.
