Cricket Donations
Tom Gregory from Year 7 is collecting secondhand cricket gear to be donated to disadvantaged Victorians. If you could help by donating any extra equipment to aid this worthy cause please see the information below.
After presenting equipment to Cricket Victoria Tom was lucky enough to meet with Cricketers Marcus Harris, Peter Hanscomb and Paul Milo (Sports Manager).
Parent Seminar
Getting teenagers ready for work
As part of our ongoing commitment toward our community and being parents of teenage children, we are presenting a short seminar on the fundamentals of ‘Getting teenagers ready for work’.
The focus of the presentation is financial and work place education for Year’s 9, 10, 11 and 12 students (parents are welcome).
A brief overview of topics covered during this 60 minute presentation are:
- Getting paid and the importance of budgeting and saving
- What is an Award and how do I find my Award?
- Do I need a Tax File Number?
- Am I entitled to Superannuation and what is a Super Guarantee form?
- Where to find guidelines and help? (Fair Work Ombudsman)
- What to expect when you get there?
This presentation will engage three presenters. All three are experts in their field and have a genuine understanding of the audience they will be addressing.
Our aim is to be informative and positive about getting job ready. Attendance is voluntary however booking in advance is appreciated.
