Picnic at Hanging Rock

VCE Drama
On 3rd March. the VCE Drama class travelled to Melbourne to view the stage adaptation of Joan Lindsay's novel "Picnic at Hanging Rock".
This was performed at the Malthouse Theatre and was directed by Australia's youngest artistic director Mathew Lugg.
The students really enjoyed the production and were able to articulate clearly the symbolism that was present throughout the performance.
Both the year 11 group and the year 12 group are required to write on this text in their exams and it is exciting to see how much they got out of it.
I feel very privileged to teach such insightful, artistic and well behaved students and I look forward to seeing what exciting performances they are able to develop throughout the year.
