Friendly Reminders

Please ensure you have downloaded the ‘SeeSaw’ and ‘Audiri’ application to keep up to date with all important information and your child's learning.

We will also continue to email fortnightly catch ups to all parents, as a way of communicating.  Please know that our classroom is always open to all parents and visitors so please feel free to come in and say hello.

Timetable

Our general timetable will stay the same as Term 1.

Monday - Library

Tuesday - Sport

Wednesday - STEM and Art

Thursday - Performing Arts or Italian

Friday - PMP

Reminder that all students are required to wear their sports uniforms on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Homework

Just a friendly reminder that we would like your child to continue reading for 10 minutes a night and practise their Magic words.  Please record reading in your child’s reading journal. The day for changing readers and testing words will remain the same as Semester 1.  Please also remember that the books your child takes home are meant to be easy for them.  This is to build confidence and fluency.  Your child will be reading more difficult books in the classroom where the teacher can scaffold them and provide support for them.  Please make sure you are also discussing the stories with your child, as this will continue to help improve their oral language, which is a precursor to a successful reader.  We suggest that you also read and discuss your child’s library book with them several times during the week and practise past Magic Words to help maintain their ability to read these words.
