Around the Classes - Year 5

School Arrivals

Class starts promptly at 8.40am. To avoid disruptions to student’s learning could you please ensure your child is at school on time. 

The school gates open each morning at 8.15am.

Religious Education

In this unit, students refine their knowledge of the Seven Sacraments and explore the signs, symbols and rituals of each. Students develop an understanding of the Holy Spirit from scripture passages and interpret them, making relevant connections to their lives today.

Inquiry

In this unit, students will learn about the Sun and the planets within the solar system. They will explore the role the Sun has in our solar system and the effect it has on planets. Students will analyse the effects orbiting the Sun has on Earth. They will also identify the different movements the plants will make. Students will then research a planet of their choice and present their research project in a display of their choice.
